説明
DDK Trio は、ヨーロッパを代表する3人の即興演奏家、スイスのピアニスト Jacques Demierre、ドイツのトランペッター Axel Dörner、スイスのアコーディオン奏者Jonas Kocherが2014年に結成。いわゆる「インスタント・コンポジション」の伝統を受け継ぎながら、最先端の現代即興音楽を聴かせるスーパー・トリオ。DDK Trio は結成以来、世界各地を訪れ、2018年には日本ツアーもおこなっている。
2021年3月21日から25日にかけて、DDK Trio
はフランス南西部のレ・カバンヌでレコーディングをおこなう機会を得た。こうして生まれた数々の演奏録音から、3人はそれぞれ独自の選曲によるアルバムを制作し、それらは「Jacque Demierre’s Choice」、「Axel Dörner’s Choice」、「Jonas Kocher’s Choice」と題する3枚のCDとなった。これらCD3枚を、英語とフランス語によるライナー・ノートを掲載した20ページのブックレットも付けて、厚紙ボックスに収めたDDK Trio の記念碑的作品。
